“What the hell is he doing in there?”
Sara tapped her foot impatiently on the pavement. Impatient was the perfect word to describe how she was feeling. Impatient and frustrated.
Twenty minutes earlier, she had sent Michael into the pharmacy to complete what should have been the simple task of buying a packet of condoms. Twenty fucking minutes and he still hadn’t emerged.
Their co-inhabitants from the warehouse were out on a reconnaissance mission, leaving she and Michael with a very small window of opportunity for some much needed alone time and Michael was wasting it inside the damned pharmacy.
He was the ‘man with the plan’. The man who broke his brother out of a maximum security prison, the man who was about to bring down ‘the Company’, yet deciding what type of condoms to purchase was obviously a task too hard to master.
She loved him. God how she loved him, but talk about frustration. When he was in Fox River, she had read just about every book and medical journal there was on Low Latent Inhibition so she could better understand him and help him, but nothing could have prepared her for this and for a moment, she wondered if it was all worth it. She wondered if love was enough.
The moment she saw him walk out of the pharmacy, paper bag in hand and a triumphant smile lighting up his face, she knew it was.
“I’m sorry it took so long in there but I had some trouble deciding what kind you prefer. There are just so many to choose from.”
Michael Scofield, self deprecating even when it came to condoms.
Sarah just laughed, cupping his sweet face in her hands and kissing him with all the passion, bubbling inside her. Who cared if it was thinly sheathed, ribbed or even glowed in the dark. She just wanted him and the sooner the better.
